Tammie Charlene Clifton

Tammie Charlene Clifton, age 55, of Bonne Terre, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Bonne Terre.

Ms. Clifton was born June 22, 1960 in Poplar Bluff and was of the non-denominational faith. Until her illness she had worked as a coder in the Health Care industry. Ms. Clifton enjoyed spending time with her family, photography and genealogy. She was also musically talented and could play any instrument she touched.

Survivors include her husband, John Gifford of the home; her children: Allen Ray Polanowski and Lisa Fay Polanowski of Farmington, Mo. and Sarah Brooke Galvin of Hillsboro, Mo.; her mother, Neva Faye Lovette of Ballwin, Mo.; John's children, Preston and Jenna Gifford of the home; a sister, Barbara Lynn Clifton Hockenbury of Wildwood, Mo.; three brothers: Raymond Lee Clifton of Atwater, Calif., Dr. Randal Dean Robinson of San Antonio, Texas and Mark Andrew Lee of Ellington, Mo.; and a special step-brother, Troy Robinson of Kenneth City, Fla.

Her father, Robert Augusta Clifton, maternal grandparents, Johnny Clifford and Mabel Isabelle Burns Lovette and paternal grandparents, John Henry and Irma Neal Clifton preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with family members, the Rev. John Lewis officiating and the Rev. Jeremy Lloyd assisting. Burial will take place in the Woodlawn section of Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
