Terry Jack Carver

Terry Jack Carver, 77, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed peacfully, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, surrounded by family.

Terry was born on October 02, 1948, to Leamon Otto and Reva Lorraine (Cofer) Carver in St. Louis, Missouri.

Terry was of the Catholic faith. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri. Terry proudly served in the Army National Guard for 4 years while living in the St. Louis area. He retired from the Social Security Administration after working as a claims analyst and administrator for over 20 years.

Some of his proudest titles included Uncle Buck, Terry the Trout master, and Grandpa. Terry will be joyfully and lovingly remembered by all.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Heather (Neil) Tischer; three sisters, Darline Schmitt, Victoria Harwell, and Barbara Millas; brother, Kerry Carver; grandchildren, Katie (Jacob) Franklin, Lindsey Tischer, and John Tischer. Terry was also blessed to have several very special and caring friends; Jerry the Judge, David, and Velvet.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Carver.
