Terry Edward Simmons

Terry Edward Simmons, 61, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014, at Clark Mountain Nursing Home, in Piedmont, MO.
Mr. Simmons was born April 5, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Edward Simmons and Mary Lea Simmons Bland.
Mr. Simmons was a member of the First Baptist Church, was a 1971 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, continued his education at Three Rivers College, and graduated with honors from St. Louis University earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He retired from Northern Telecom.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his children: Jonathan Paul Simmons, Sarah Ashley Simmons Khaldi, (Adam), Jessica Marie Simmons Bannecker, (Scott), Hannah Elizabeth Simmons; brothers: Gary Simmons (Tami) of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Steve Simmons (Betty) of Bismark, AR; a sister: Pam Simmons Andrews (Dave), of Nashville, TN; and grandchildren: Drew Simmons Hill, and Grayson Bannecker.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Cotrell Funeral Service, until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Dr. William Vail will be officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
