Thelma Mae Crouse, 95, of Poplar Bluff was called home to glory by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Crouse, the daughter of the late Elisha and Mary Ann Lowery, was born Feb. 10, 1920 in Essex, Mo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, traveling, spending time with her family, and telling stories of her life.
On June 19, 1956, she married Kenneth Crouse in Montebello, Calif. He preceded her in death in August, 2007.
Survivors include her son, Richard Crouse and wife, Tammy of Poplar Bluff; brothers, E.J. Lowery (Jean) of Phoenix, Ariz. Ad Lennie Lowery (Ruby) of Arnold, Mo.; and close friends Norma Whitmer and Betty Porter.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Basil Lowery and Curtis Lowery, and sisters Robbie Brigance and Eleanor Reinbott.
The visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. Dr. William Vail will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
