Thelma Louise Scott

Thelma Louise Scott, 68, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday April 11, 2009 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Scott was born April 12, 1940 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Scott enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and gardening, flowers, and cooking for her family.
On January 3, 1960 she was married to Richard Dale Scott in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Also surviving are two children, Vernon Scott and wife Donna of Poplar Bluff and Juanita Bishop and husband David of Ellsinore; seven grandchildren: Jessica Scott, Shelby Scott, Heather Hosentfeld, David Bishop, Jr., John Shelton, Allison Boyles and Matthew Boyles; five great grandchildren, Dawson Bishop, Cody Bishop, Grace Bishop, Austin Hosentfeld and Alexis Hosentfeld; one sister, Flora Belle Delahunt of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nora (Allen) Simmering.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gene Riddle officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
