Theodore William James Barnes

Theodore William James Barnes, age 2, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2026. He left this Earth far too soon, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who loved him. Theodore was born on October 24, 2023, to Tyler Barnes and Maddyson Holloway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Though his time on Earth was brief, Theodore's life was filled with warmth, wonder, and joy. He had a bright spirit and a gentle nature. His laughter, curiosity, and innocence brought smiles to those around him. In his short two years, he created countless cherished moments that his family will hold onto forever... small moments, but deeply meaningful ones, nonetheless.

Theodore loved the simple joys of childhood - playing, exploring the world around him, and being close to those he loved most. His presence brought light into every room, and his absence is deeply felt.

Theodore is survived by his mother, Maddyson Holloway; siblings, Daisy Holloway, Ava Barnes, and RJ Holloway-Hoye; grandparents, Edward Holloway, Tanya and Russell Baugus, Chris Barnes, Cheryl Barnes, and Thomas Moore; great-grandparents, Teresa Burns and Phyllis Weathers; special loved ones, Monica and Daren Hunter, William Baugus, Richard Hoye, Helen Bumpus, and Tracy Holloway; along with many more special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Theodore was preceded in death by his father, Tyler Barnes; great-grandparents, Jackie Burns, Clay and Zula Holloway, and Connie Baugus.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00-2:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00pm with Zach Baugus officiating. Burial will take place at Browns Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
