Thomas Earl Jenkins

Major Thomas Earl Jenkins, 64, of Harviell, MO, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, on May 26, 1949, to Paul and Wilma (Adams) Jenkins. His mother preceded him in death.

On June 26, 1993, he married Deana Robertson in Poplar Bluff, MO. She survives of the home.

He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the United States Army. In 2010, he retired from MODOT as a Construction Inspector. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, playing drums, hunting and woodworking, and played in the Red Light Band for 33 years.

Other survivors include four children; Kevin Jenkins of Austin, TX, Heather Dolan (Patrick) of Bella Vista, AR, Jessica Meloy (Chad) of Silva, MO, and Danny Robertson of Poplar Bluff, five grandchildren; Emily, Jax and Jace Meloy and Austin and Zachary Dolan, three brothers; Bill Jenkins and Ardel Jenkins of Poplar Bluff, and Danny Jenkins of Granden, Mo.; and a sister Barb Gray of Wappapello, MO.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Schultz officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
