Thomas "Tommy" L. Luecke

Thomas (Tommy) Lee Luecke, 59, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at his residence in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Tommy was born March 25, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, to Clarence J. Luecke and Henrietta M. (Rehagen) Luecke. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Clarence and his brother Mark S. Luecke.

Tommy is survived by his mother Henrietta M. Luecke of Poplar Bluff and three sisters and two brothers being Kathie Schmid (David) of Chesterfield, Mo., Jeanette Clark (John) and Michelle Jones (Bill) of Poplar Bluff, Ken Luecke (Cindy) and Greg Luecke (Sue) of St. Louis, Mo. He was also survived by a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was retired from Luecke Distributing Company. Tom was a bright creative woodworker, tinkerer and builder who was a voracious reader of DIY articles. He was a talented craftsman and skilled carpenter. He had an innate talent for fixing things and was always helping family and friends.

Tommy was a graduate of Southwest High School in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. He had resided in Poplar Bluff since 1986.There will be visitation at 11 am on Saturday August 22nd at Sacred Heart Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 12 pm celebrated by Father William Hodgson and Deacon David Farris. A private interment will be later at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Animal Welfare Alliance, P.O. Box 647, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902.
