Thomas Patrick ""Tom"" Sanderson, 40, of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Black River Community Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Sanderson was born Dec. 21, 1972, in St. Louis, and was a graduate of St. Louis University High School. He attended First United Methodist Church, and was owner and insurance agent of McVey Allstate Insurance in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed watching sports, especially St. Louis Rams football, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Blues Hockey, Soccer, Disc Golf, yard work and gardening.
On May 18, 1998, he married Karen Tade in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kayla Sanderson; his mother, Ruth Anne Classe Sanderson, of St. Louis; a sister, Michele Collins and husband, Val, of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Kim McVey and husband Ken, and their son Ryan, of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Charles Laird Sanderson III and his wife, Christina and Skip Devereaux, all of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
His father, Charles Laird Sanderson, Jr. preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 11 to 12:30 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. David Stewart officiating.
