Tommy Lynn Swindle

Tommy Lynn Swindle, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Tommy was born on November 26, 1951, to Thomas and Glennon (McFall) Swindle in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Tommy was a faithful servant of God and attended the Poplar Bluff Seventh Day Adventist Church. He played piano and sang in a gospel music group. He worked for the Poplar Bluff Housing Authority for 35 years before retiring. Tommy also enjoyed gardening, quilting, painting, and teaching sign language.

Tommy is survived by two brothers, Harold (Sheila) Swindle and Jeff Swindle; sister, Jennifer (Karl) Swindle-Littell; two stepbrothers, Robert (Linda) Palmer and Gary (Nhu) Palmer; stepsister, Judy (Joe) Robertson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald (Helen) Swindle; stepbrothers, Madrid Palmer and Harvey Hook; and his best friend, Carl (Gene) James.

An informal memorial gathering will be held at Tommy’s home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 2:00-4:00pm.
