Tonda Lynn (Austin) Mackelden

Tonda Lynn Mackelden, 49, of Bernie, MO passed away on Monday, January 6, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Tonda was born on December 3, 1970 in Jerseyville, IL the daughter of Martin Austin and Jennie Modina.

On April 22, 1997 She married Thomas Lee Mackelden in Carrollton, IL and he survives.

Tonda spent her life as a caregiver to many. She loved helping others and put them first. Tonda also cared greatly for animals and rescued many throughout her life.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her children, Kendall Dale Jones Jr. of Illinois, Jenna Marie Jones of Bernie, MO Kylee Elizabeth Louise Jones of Greenville, MO and Edwin Coy Mackelden of Bernie, MO; grandchildren Zahne Sandus, Elaina Sandus, Karmyn Clinton, Ayvin Jones and Paxton Clinton.

Tonda was preceded in death by Grandma Sharon and Mother-in-Law Lola Mackelden.

A Private service celebrating Tonda’s life will be held by her family.
