Travis Steven Proffer

Travis Steven Proffer, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on August 18, 2026, at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Travis was born on March 3, 1946, to Travis and Betty (Snider) Proffer in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Joie Morrison on August 22, 1970.

Travis served his country as a 1 Mobile Comm. GP, APCS at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C., Philippines and Vietnam. He loved the game of golf and was proud of his "Hole in One" at Westwood Hills Country Club. Steven was employed by the Dept of Social Services and the Division of Youth Services for 27 years.

Travis leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Joie; daughter, Erin Proffer Risinger (Jon); sons, Drew Proffer (Amber) and Chris Proffer; grandchildren, Blace, Jalynn, Vanessa, Ashtyn, Dominic, and Charlie; and one great-grandchild, Kowen.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Betty Proffer.

Memorials can be made to UCAN and Animal Welfare Alliance in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Graveside service with burial took place at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
