Treva L. Clifton Skiles, 80, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Skiles was born Oct. 6, 1932 in Memphis, Tenn., and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and attended church services held at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, where she also served as a volunteer during the services. Mrs. Skiles enjoyed bowling, and making porcelain dolls and plastic canvas crafts.
On Aug. 14, 1955, she married Jake Skiles in Portageville, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Skiles, of Poplar Bluff, and Daniel Skiles (Julie) of Skiatook, Okla.; and a grandson, Thomas Skiles.
Her parents, Thomas and Lucille Gossett Clifton, and sisters, Opal Campbell and Tommie Corbin also preceded Mrs. Skiles in death.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating.
