Velma Fern Hupp

Velma Fern Hupp, 93, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Charlevoix Healthcare Center in St. Charles.

Mrs. Hupp was born May 16, 1917 in Essex, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Hupp enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On Oct. 16, 1937 she was married to Louis Hupp. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1985.

Survivors include two children, Nolan Richard Hupp of Overland, Mo. and Norma Coleen Walters of St. Charles, Mo.; three grandchildren; one great- grandchild and one step-great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
