Victoria Torie Elizabeth Swanson

Victoria Elizabeth Swanson, 15, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Butler County.

Victoria ""Torie"" was born Aug. 2, 1996 in Poplar Bluff, and had recently completed the 9th grade at Poplar Bluff High School. She was a big-hearted, full of life kind of girl with many friends. Torie had hopes of graduating from high school and to later become a Medical Doctor or Pediatrician. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and especially enjoyed being around children. Torie also enjoyed singing and listening to music, especially songs by Beyoncé.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Tanya Sue (Overton) Dugger and Daniel Dugger; father, Billy Shane Swanson; brother, Nicholas ""Nick"" Swanson; grandmother, Judy Swanson; great grandfather, Willis Hufford all of Poplar Bluff; and four uncles, two aunts and 14 cousins.

Her grandmother, Linda Overton and great-grandmother, Mable Hufford preceded Torie in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Green Forest Church of Christ in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Community Church of Christ in Lowndes, Mo. with Pastor Jack Rogers officiating and Bro. Adam Nole assisting. Burial will follow in the Lowndes Community Church of Christ Cemetery.
