Victoria Taylor

Victoria Taylor, 78, of Wappapello died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Taylor was born Nov. 9, 1930 in Butler County. She was of the Protestant faith, and had retired as an LPN. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting with her many friends, talking on the phone, shopping and reading.

On April 30, 1946 she married Leonard H. Taylor in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include four sons: Larry Taylor of Goose Bay, Oreg., Dennis Taylor of St. Clair, Leonard W. Taylor of Mill Spring and George Taylor of Wappapello; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Goldie Butler of Poplar Bluff; and a longtime friend and neighbor, Betty Hayes of Wappapello.

Her parents, Eugene F. and Roxie (Frizzell) Payne, son, James Taylor, sisters, Lottie Reynolds and Mary Pritchard and brothers, Clyde Payne and Jim Payne preceded Mrs. Taylor in death.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Keith Boyer officiating. Burial will be at 12 noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
