Vilray I. Choisser, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Choisser was born March 2, 1923, in Messler, Mo. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and had retired as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Choisser enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On June 30, 1954 he was married to Ruth Ellen Inman, in Clyde, Ohio. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2004.
Mr. Choisser is survived by his daughter, Nancy R. Shock and husband Steven, of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Brooke Dobbs and husband Nathan, of Poplar Bluff, Kayla Choisser, of Jefferson City and Stewart Shock, also of Poplar Bluff; a great-granddaughter, Emalee Dobbs; and a great-grandson, Bryce Dobbs, of Poplar Buff.
His parents, John and Parlee Choisser, son, Allen R. Choisser, a sister and four brothers preceded him in death.
A graveside service and burial with full military services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Hoyt will officiate.
