Vineta P. Resnik, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Resnik was born June 17, 1925 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Resnik enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and creating ceramic pieces.
On May 10, 1941 she married Lawrence P. Resnik in Corning, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sandy England and her husband Gary of Poplar Bluff; son, Ron Resnik and his wife Dianna also of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren: Mike England of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan Allen and her husband Randy and Pam Cooper and her husband Bernard, all of Edmond, Okla., Jeffery Resnik and his wife Dilcia of Poplar Bluff and Todd Resnik and his wife Julia of Tulsa, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren: Heather Allen, Mikki Allen, Matthew Allen, Stephanie England, Avery England, Andrew England, Brettney Bivens and Teylor Resnik; three sisters: Jane DuBois and her husband Daryl of Chesterfield, Mo., Betty White of Little Rock, Ark. and Edith Johnson of Alice, Tex.; and a brother, Bill Womack and his wife Lillian of Poplar Bluff.
A prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with visitation following until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Coon officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
