Virgie May Nunn, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on September 13, 2026. She was born onMarch 15, 1933, in Shook, Missouri, to Cecil and Mary Osborn. One of five children, Virgie grew upin a close-knit family, and family remained at the center of her life.

Virgie married Melvin Nunn on October 22, 1949. They shared nearly 69 years of marriage and a deep love for one another until his passing on November 24, 2018. A devoted homemaker, Virgie dedicated her life to caring for her family. Virgie gave so much of herself to the people she loved, often putting their needs before her own. She believed that family was the most important thing in life, and she lived that belief every day through her care, loyalty, and willingness to sacrifice for those she loved.

Virgie was deep1y devoted to her chi1dren, grandchi1dren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson, and cherished the time she spent with them throughout their lives. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Seyer (and the late Lynn Seyer) of House Springs, Missouri, and Melba Peters of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Through Janet, she is survived by her granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson, and her daughters, Erin and Katie (Ricky) Eckert, and her _grandson, Joseph Seyer (Mindy), and his daughters, Emma, Grace, and Molly. Through Melba, she is survived by her granddaughter, Amy Pfeffer, and Amy's children, Drew Pfeffer, Chelsae Cordia, and Chelsae's son, Benjamin.

Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mary Osborn; her husband, Melvin Nunn; her son-in-law, Lynn Seyer; and her siblings, Virgil Osborn, Verna Lee Brawley, and Vernon Osborn. She is survived by her sister, Vernell Luke.

Virgie loved children, enjoyed reading, and appreciated a good day of shopping. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of everyday life and, above all, in the people she loved. She will be remembered for the care she gave so freely, the sacrifices she made for her family, and the lasting love she gave to those around her.

Visitation and services will be held on September 18, 2026, at Cotrell's Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Melvin, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
