Virgil Nick Labrier

Virgil Nick LaBrier, 75, of Jackson, MO, former resident of Poplar Bluff, passed away Thursday, July 09, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. LaBrier was born January 16, 1940 in Poplar Bluff to the late John Joseph and Mable Lee (Ward) LaBrier. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. LaBrier proudly served his country in the United States Army and had retired after many years at Sniders Grocery in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Three Rivers Raiders and collecting baseball cards.
On Dec. 20, 1961, he married Billie Joyce (Moore) LaBrier in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include three children: Regina LaBrier and Freda LaBrier both of Poplar Bluff and Mike LaBrier of Jackson; five grandchildren: Chad, Lacy, Steven, Michael and Thomas; two great-grandchildren: Noah and Owen; four sisters: Shirley Wilkerson of Fisk, Mable LaBrier of Poplar Bluff, and Marge Haleen and Betty Shaw of Texas; and a brother, Fred LaBrier of Poplar Bluff.
A sister, Mona Artez, a brother, John LaBrier and a brother-in-law, Don Wilkerson also preceded Mr. LaBrier in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
