Virginia O. Carter

Virginia Carter, 93, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Riverways Manor Nursing Home in Van Buren.
Miss Carter was born on June 17, 1916 in Leeper, and was the daughter of Mann and Lillie Carter. Virginia retired after many years as a nurse at Lucy Lee Hospital.
Survivors include her nephew and guardian, James Carter, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, and two sisters: Lyman, Lawrence, Sherman, Arthur, George, Hattye, and Ruth.
A graveside service and burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Moore officiating.
