Virginia "Jenny" Elizabeth Eiler

Virginia “Jenny” E. Eiler, 91, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, April 10, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Eiler, the daughter of the late Joseph Herman and Mary Anna Wright Cochran, was born Nov. 21, 1925 in Butler County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. In her earlier years she was an assistant bookkeeper for Pocahontas Flying Service. Mrs. Eiler enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching and nature

In 1971, she married Leo B. Eiler. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2002.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Smith and his wife, Lori of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Robert Cochran of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Mary Cole of Punta Gorda, Fla.

A sister, Nadine French, and three brothers; J.C, Russell and Charles Cochran also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dick Murray will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
