Virginia Lee (Bradfield) Farris

Virginia Lee Farris, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mrs. Farris, the daughter of the late Carly and Flora Whitehead Bradfield, was born March 14, 1933 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Farris loved to spend time with her family and going to church. She enjoyed quilting and canning.

On June 20, 1953, she married Jessie E. Farris in Caruthersville, Mo. He survives.

Other survivors include six children, Steve (Linda) Farris of Madison, Mo., Deborah (Marty) Metzger of Austin, Ark., Patricia Farris Jones and Pam (Gaylen) Sanders of Poplar Bluff, Kent (Ruby)Farris of Huntsville, Ala. and Sherry (Ron) Turley of Concord, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Pennell of Poplar Bluff; and a brother, Floyd Bradfield of Clearwater, Fla.

Two sisters, Margie Crisp and Geraline Hogan and two brothers, Harold Bradfield and Troy Bradfield preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ken McAnulty will officiate. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
