Vivan Blackburn

Vivian Ruth (Armes) Blackburn, 78, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

She was born on May 27, 1940 to Henry and Tinnie Armes in Poplar Bluff, MO. Vivian retired from the John J Pershing VA after 27 years of service as an LPN. Vivian was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who rarely missed a game. She enjoyed traveling, listening to gospel music, and watching her grandsons play baseball.

Vivian is survived by her sons, Chuck (Cindy) Blackburn of Poplar Bluff, MO and David (Debbie) Blackburn of Memphis TN; five grandsons, Matt (Amy) Blackburn, Ty Blackburn, Bryce Blackburn, Joe Blackburn, Drew Blackburn; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Blackburn; and sister-in-law, Betty Helvey.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Tinnie Armes; two sisters, Marguerite Gentry, Dude Thompson; and one brother, Virgil Armes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be immediately following visitation at 3:00 pm in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will take place in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
