Vivian E. Garman, 83, of Poplar Bluff died in her home the morning of August 19th after a 25-year battle with breast cancer.
Mrs. Garman was born July 27, 1932 in Broseley, Mo. to the late Floyd and Louise (Brown) Fredwell. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School and was a member of the First Christian Church for sixty years. She worked for many years at the Family Shoe Store. Mrs. Garman cherished her Christian faith and enjoyed her family, many friends, gardening and feeding her birds.
On July 3, 1953, she married Robert V. Garman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Garman and wife, Muriel of Odenton, Maryland, and Richard N. Garman and wife, Johnna of Tiburon, Calif.; four grandchildren, Derek Garman and wife, Heather of New York City, Stefan Garman and wife, Ashley of Denver, Colo., Kevin Garman of Clemson, South Carolina, and Anna Garman of Tiburon, Calif.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with the funeral services following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jeffery Hammonds will officiate. Burial will be at the City Cemetery immediately following.
