Vivian Lucille Whitmer-Sanner

Vivian Lucille Whitmer Sanner, formerly of Poplar Bluff, MO. died on July 16, 2019. Mrs. Sanner had been a resident of Dayspring Assisted Living on Johns Island, SC since 2014.
Born August 21, 1923 to the late Andrew Allen Whitmer and Bertha Leona (Dunlap) Whitmer In Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1943 she married Charles Ray Sanner. He died in 1994.
She was a homemaker and also worked in the bowling alley business.
Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, playing cards, phone conversations with family and friends, anything Elvis, trips to Branson, and occasional visits to the casinos. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, Alan Ray Sanner (Elaine) of Johns Island, SC; sister Marjorie Nunn and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Sanner in death were her parents, her husband, her sisters Lorene Blakeney and Joyce
Upchurch, and her three brothers Floyd Whitmer, Gene Whitmer and Lloyd R. Whitmer.
The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, MO. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Chlastak officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery.
The family expresses sincere thanks to the owners and staff at Dayspring Assisted Living for their loving care of Mrs. Vivian for the last five years.
Memorials may be made as donations to the staff Christmas fund at Dayspring or to the charity or church of one’s choice.
