W. Earle Leslie, 75, of Farmington, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at Parkland Hospital, in Farmington.
Mr. Leslie was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from General Motors. Mr. Leslie was a veteran of the United States Marines having served in Korea, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf.
On June 20 1954, he married Barbara Ann Whaley, in Butler County. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Karen L. Pepper and husband Bill, of Arnold; son, Dane E. Leslie and wife Jan, of Fenton; four grandchildren, Tiffani Leslie, Travis Leslie, Lauren Pepper and Ashley Pepper; great-grandson, Ty Gordon; and brother, Ted Leslie and wife Janelle, of Festus.
His parents, Scott and Bertha (Landrum) Leslie, and sister, Betty Gray preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Kinsey Cemetery, in Butler County.
