Wanda Charlene Bennett, 85, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by family in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Wanda was born on July 2, 1940, to Charles and Erva (Davis) Jones in Broseley, Missouri. She married Oliver Leon Bennett on June 9, 1962, at Black River Church in Broseley, Missouri.

Wanda worked at Baldwin Ford for 26 years, She was the heart of our family and a woman who truly did everything for everyone she loved. Wanda was the kind of person who put others before herself without hesitation. Her kindness was felt in countless quiet ways through her patience, her listening ear, her gentle advice, and her unwavering love. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, safe, and cared for.

One of her greatest joys was cooking for others. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and unforgettable meals made with love. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple everyday dish, Wanda’s cooking brought people together and created memories that will live on forever. Her recipes, like her love, will continue to be passed down through generations. Above all, Wanda was deeply loving. She cherished her family and friends and took pride in caring for those around her. Her strength, generosity, and warmth shaped the lives of everyone who knew her.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leon; children, Doug (Jan) Bennett, Angela Wisdom and Brian; grandchildren, Trevor, Demi (Mason), Dace, Justin (Sam), Ashley (Lane) and Zack (Sydney); siblings, Delores, Jr. (Shirley), Sue (Ted); sisters-in-law, Mary and Jerry along with several nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Erva; siblings, Carl, Glenda, and Wayne; and sisters-in-law, Connie and Paula.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at City Cemetery.
