Wanda Talcott, 58, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Talcott was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Blytheville, Ark., and was of the Baptist faith. She had worked part-time at Carol's Hallmark Store, in Poplar Bluff, and was a member of the Poplar Bluff Elks' Lodge. Mrs. Talcott enjoyed volunteer work, making jewelry, scrap booking, photography and oil painting.
On Dec. 23, 1976, she married Fred J. Talcott, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include 6 children, Nathan Brown and wife Karen, Theresa Tolliver and husband Terry, Jane McNamee and husband Jerry, all of Poplar Bluff, Ricky Talcott and wife Debby, of Campbell, John Talcott and wife Margie, of Salt Lake City, Utah and Susie Talcott, of St. Ann, Mo.; 9 grandchildren, Dane Brown, Kody Maupin, Kourtney Eversole, Christy Martin, Nicholas McNamee, Richard Talcott, Rebecca McElrath, Preston Talcott and Levi Hart; 4 great-grandchildren, Carley Martin, Cassie Martin, Adam Talcott and Joleigha McElrath; a sister, Darlene Lampley, of Qulin; a brother, Larry McGee and wife Bonnie, of Hillsboro, Mo.; a special cousin, Ronda Smith and husband David, of Cape Girardeau; and 6 special friends that she loved like sisters, Brenda Hayes, Luwanna Foriester, Jeanne Porter, Lisa Holmes, Patricia Scott and Kathy Felts, all of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery.
