Wantona Ida Toni (Withrow) Ferguson

Wantona Ida ""Toni"" Withrow Ferguson, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday Jan. 4, 2015 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Ferguson was born July 6, 1926 in New Madrid County, Mo. to the late Leo L. and Helen Henson Spencer. She was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church, and had retired from the H. W. Gossard Garment Factory. Mrs. Ferguson loved spending time with her family, quilting, gardening, flowers, cooking and attending church.

On Oct. 13, 1979, she was married to Calvin Glenn Ferguson. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1993.

Survivors include her children: Delores Reno (George), of Poplar Bluff, Jeanette Dismuke (Bardis), of Harviell, Delbert Withrow (Johnnie) of Puxico, and Mark Withrow, of Birmingham, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Nancy Ellsworth, son Nathan Withrow, great-grandson, Tyler Withrow 10 siblings, and father of her children, James Dobie Withrow also preceded Mrs. Ferguson in death.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Little Brushy Cemetery at Wappapello, Mo.
