Warren Neil Kerber

Warren Neil Kerber, 74, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., as a result of a 4-wheeler accident.
Mr. Kerber, the son of the late John and Maida (Steitz) Kerber, was born July 28, 1945 in Fresno, Calif., and was raised on the family vineyard in Kerman, Calif. Mr. Kerber was of the Christian Science faith. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps in Korea during the Vietnam War. Mr. Kerber received an Associates of Art Degree in Accounting from Fresno City College and followed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fresno State College. He was awarded a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Kerber retired after 35 years in Hospital Administration. He was a Lifetime member of the National Riffle Association (N.R.A.) and The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), enjoying Cowboy Action Shooting competitions. He was also a Lifetime member of Poplar Bluff VFW post 6477 and a member of the Poplar Bluff American Legion Post 153. Mr. Kerber enjoyed his horses, dogs and cat. He was a proud supporter of The Patron of the Arts, P.B. Mules Football Team, TRC Lady Raiders Basketball, Margaret Harwell Art Museum, and attending Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce Events.
On May 21, 1978 he married Dr. Jayne Niskey in Dallas, Pa. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a brother, John Dale Kerber, and his wife, Vicki, of Kerman, California; and two nieces, Shawn Kerber and Tammy (Kirk) Collins.
A sister, Carol Lynn Kerber, preceded him in death.
As per Mr. Kerber’s wishes a graveside service will be held noon Thursday September 5, 2019 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
