Wayne Everett Pruett

Wayne Everett Pruett, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Pruett was born March 6, 1930 in San Saba County, Tex. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force where he served as a medic, and retired from the Poplar Bluff Police Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, fishing and bird watching.

Survivors include his daughters, Janice Massingham and her husband Terry and Judith Moss and her husband Victor, all of Poplar Bluff; step-son, David Jones II and wife Charitie of Kennett; grandchildren, Erica King, Bobby Moss, Bryon Moss and Joseph Moss all of Poplar Bluff and Katie Jones and Ella Jones both of Kennett; great-granddaughters, Mallory King and Bailey King both of Poplar Bluff; special friend, Pamela ""Penny"" Jones of Poplar Bluff; and sister, Vivian Corrine Pinnon of Caulfield, Mo.

His parents, Joseph Edward and Amanda Elvira Ely Pruett and brother, Willis Edward Pruett preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with the Rev. Luther Goins officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
