Wilda Jane Chestnut

Wilda Jane Chestnut, 83, of Poplar Bluff, died February 3, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Chestnut was born October 7, 1923 in Coldwater, Mo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.

On June 10, 1939 she married Emery Chestnut and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Gene Chestnut of Poplar Bluff and Jim Chestnut of Marble Hill, Mo.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Claude Henson of Piedmont, Pete Henson of Flint, Michigan and one sister, Melba Marino of Piedmont.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carlos Jeffries officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
