William Earl Bud Lourance

William Earl ""Bud' Lourance, 81, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Lourance was born July 8, 1930 in Qulin, Mo. He was affiliated with the Jehovah Witness faith, and had started his career as an ironworker with Stupp Brothers Fabricating Company, later retiring from Alberrecci Construction Company. Mr. Lourance enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, his dogs and fishing.

On Sept. 2, 1950, he married Janette Whittington in Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Survivors include his daughter, Gail Fredwell of Poplar Bluff; a niece and nephew they raised, Stacy Owen and husband Jimmy of Williamsville, Mo. and Bill Tuttle and wife Diane of Greenville, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Lourance of Cadet, Mo.; three grandchildren, David Propst, Angela McGrail and husband Sean and Gene Lourance and wife Lori; seven great-grandchildren, Timothy McGrail, Matthew McGrail, Katelyn McGrail, Molly McGrail, Ashley Lourance, Alex Lourance and Ryan Lourance; and two brothers, Wilfred Lourance of Sturdivant, Mo. and Edgar Lourance and wife Joan of Qulin, Mo.

His parents, Floyd and Anna Webb Lourance, son, Steve Lourance, sister, Gladys Jeffries and son-in-law, Clifford Fredwell preceded Mr. Lourance in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Mr. Jearl Griffin officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery.
