William F. Stilley, 92, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Stilley was born Feb. 23, 1923 in Poplar Bluff. He was a former 36 year employee of Bank of Poplar Bluff; and was a WWII veteran, having served with the 86th Infantry Division in France and Germany, and in the Philippine Islands.
On May 13, 1951, he married Stella Whittaker at Walnut Ridge, Ark. She passed away on May 15, 1998.
Survivors include three nieces: Sue Burnett and Georgia Maple, both of Poplar Bluff and Mary Lee Eckhoff, of Shawnee, Kans.; a nephew, John B, Crader, of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Will and Allie Vandover Stilley, a sister, Mary Ann Crader and a brother, George M. Stilley also preceded Mr. Stilley in death.
A graveside service and burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Rev. Michael D. Pope officiating.
