Willie Mae (Klein) Gill

Willie Mae Gill, 83, of Harviell, Mo. died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gill was born Feb. 23, 1928 in White Oak, Mo. She was a member of Harviell Baptist Church, and had retired as a department manager for Montgomery Ward Department Store. Mrs. Gill enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and fishing.

On Nov. 5, 1945 she married William P. Gill, Sr. in Kennett, Mo. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1995.

Survivors include her children, Alton Richard Gill of Dayton, Tex., William P. Gill, Jr. of Naylor, Mo., Chester Gliss Gill of Poplar Bluff, Carylon Faye Barker of Harviell, Mo. and Kathleen Ann Gill of McDougal, Ark.; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Knodell officiating. Burial will follow at Cochran Cemetery in Butler County.
