Wilma F. (Parkin) Fox, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Fox was born Dec. 19, 1929 in Belgrade. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was active in the local, state and national Women's Missionary Auxiliary, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Fox enjoyed being a pastor's wife, spending time with her family, church family and friends and working in her yard.

On Jan. 15, 1949 she was married to Glenn W. Fox in Flat River. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2009.

Other survivors include her children, Dennis L. Fox and wife, Sue and Cathy J. Fox all of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Nicole Conover and husband Jeremy and Andrew E. Fox all of Poplar Bluff; great-grandchild, Katelyn Conover; sister, Edith Darst of Tyler, Tex.; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Fox of Littleton, Colo. and Dorothy Hassler and husband Ray of Webster Groves; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Irvin and Anna P. (Akers) Parkin and sisters, Edna Parkin, Christina Halbrook and Rosalie Brand also preceded Mrs. Fox in death.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 South 11th St., in Poplar Bluff with Elder Don Seat officiating and Elder Matt Johnson assisting. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
