Wilma L. (Lambert) Nash

Wilma L. Nash, 93, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2011
at the Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mrs. Nash was born Nov. 26, 1918 in Grenola, Kans. A graduate of Wichita Business College, Wichita, Kansas, she was employed at Sears, Roebuck & Co., and later as the Head Teller at the ""66"" Federal Credit Union.
An active member of the First Christian Church, she was also a Girl Scout leader, and active in Tuesday Club, Rose Garden, Your Child and Mine. In 2000, she joined her daughter and son-in-law in Abilene Texas. Mrs. Nash has been a resident of Poplar Bluff since Oct. 2004. She was an active member in the First Christian Church, participating in the Christian Women's Fellowship and the Hope Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Nash had just celebrated her 93rd birthday in the Oakdale Care Center while recuperating from a recent hospitalization.
On September 20, 1946, she married Merle R. Moore in Wichita, Kans., and were long-time residents of Bartlesville, Okla. Mr. Moore preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1977. On January 24, 1981, she married Roland S. Nash. He preceded her in death May 1, 1990.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry L. (Moore) and Steven Williams of Poplar Bluff; their daughter, Sarah (Williams) Smith and husband Dave and their daughter, Alexandra Smith of Abilene, Tex.; granddaughter Jennifer Atkinson and her daughter Caitlyn Atkinson of Enid, Okla.; son, Bob Nash and wife, Kathie of Naperville, Ill.; grandson, Robert Kirk Nash and his sons, Alex, Evan, and Will Nash of Rockford, Ill.; grandson, Dave Nash and wife, Jenny and their children Katelyn and Zachary Nash of Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Judy Henry and husband Bob of Oklahoma City, Okla.; granddaughter, Staci Stover and husband Rhett and their children Seldon and Chiles Stover of Owasso, Okla.; brother-in-law, Bill Rowe of Winfield, Kans.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Lambert; and her sisters, Lovetta Lambert and Norma Rowe.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Thursday, December 1st. at First Christian Church, 1601 N. Main in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with the Rev. John Harwell officiating.
Graveside rites will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, Okla. with The Reverend Rob Scofield officiating.
