Billy Alvin Faries, 81, of Puxico, MO, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Puxico Nursing and Rehab surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on September 9, 1942, to Alvin and Lavada (Crunk) Faries in Mingo, Missouri. He married Janice Ann Berrong on June 29, 1963, in Puxico, Missouri.
Bill was a member of New Life Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing of all types. Bill was a crop farmer for most of his life. He also worked as a security officer at Three River College and the City of Puxico. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his three children, Judy (Bill) McAllister, Terri Worley, and Brad Faries, all of Puxico; three grandchildren, Brandon Faries, Josh Worley, and AnaLee (Aaron) Jones; great-grandson, Colt Faries; sister, Patricia Dunivan of Puxico; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Faries (1982); life partner, Candus Brown (2002); two brothers, Ron and Randy Faries; brother-in-law, Eddie Dunivan.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Duck Creek Baptist Church in Puxico, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a local non-profit or charity that supports children in our area.
