Charles Kenneth Scott, 71, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
Kenny was born on September 21, 1950, to Charles Junior and Georgia Mae (Graham) Scott in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Dottie (Brannum) on February 10, 1973, in Poplar Bluff at Grace Methodist Church.
Kenny graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1969. He built and owned Scott Post & Tie Company, Inc. He would always say “if you love what you do you never work a day in your life.” Kenny loved to drive around and look for deer, check on his cows, and build equipment. He also loved watching his grandchildren play sports, traveling out west and going on round ups with his friends. He enjoyed traveling down to Louisiana to fish with his buddies and they would in turn travel up here for deer season. Kenny was a long-time member of Agee Fellowship Church. His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Dottie Scott; three children, Michael (Kim) Scott, Shaunda Hite, and Stephanie Pierce; brother, Randy (Nola) Scott; sister, Sherry (Bob) Graham; six grandchildren, Brandon (Rachel) Scott and Karly Scott, Logan and Lucas Hite, Hunter and Ian Pierce; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Scott; aunt, Wilma (Nip) Rains; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
