Neva Lee Obituary

Neva Fay Lovette Lee was born April 3, 1941, in Clarkton, Missouri and passed into heaven on March 1, 2024. She was the daughter of Johnny Clifford Lovett and Mabel Isabel Burns and was the 7th child of their 11 children who survived to adulthood.

She is survived by her children: Raymond Lee Clifton, (California) Barbara Lynn Hockenbury (Don) Wildwood, MO.  Dr. Randal Dean Robinson (Susan), San Antonio, TX, Mark Andrew Lee, Ellington, MO, several stepchildren, 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren. 5 Siblings:  Raymond G Lovette, Virgina Marie Deitz, Virgie Nadine Stellmon, Ronald Kenneth Lovette, Gayle Yvonne Lovette.  Numerous nieces and nephews.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Tammie Charlene Clifton, 3 brothers:  Hershel Wayne Lovette, Clifford Lee Lovette, Leroy Dale Lovette, and 2 sisters:  Phoebe Irene Butler, and Shirley Laverne Faughn. Husbands: Robert Clifton (1960), Harvey Robinson (1995) (previously divorced), Howard Lee (1992).

She completed 8th grade at Maple Hill School on May 3, 1955.  She obtained her GED and received such a high score that the state of Missouri awarded her a scholarship.  This encouraged her to enroll at Poplar Bluff Vocational School.  There she received her LPN degree, November 27,1970.   Her nursing career included hospitals, home health, geriatric care, and clinics.  She continued her education and completed her RHIT (medical records certification) and became a certified ICD 9 coder.  She traveled around the country teaching and applying her skills of coding compliance.

She was a kind and loving woman. Her greatest love was her family. She was talented in music.   She especially loved singing in church and with her children.  Sewing and crafting quilts brought her joy and greater joy to gift them to her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  She lived a full spiritual life.  Over the years she welcomed, fed, and housed missionaries. Her love for the Lord and scripture inspired her to often write prayers for her family.
